Earth & Nutmeg Toddler Set

$45.00

The First Vessel: A Call to the Kinetic Hand

In an era defined by flat glass and fleeting plastics, the act of holding something permanent is a quiet rebellion. Small hands do not just touch; they learn the world through weight, texture, and resistance.

Our Early Life / Toddler Ware collection is intentionally engineered to anchor these foundational rituals of childhood nourishment. Using our advanced studio slab-and-mold methodology, each cup, bowl, and plate is formed with uniform, dense structural walls. This technical precision provides an immediate-success design—yielding a heavily weighted base that naturally resists tipping and withstands the energetic realities of early life.

There are no synthetic shortcuts here. Every piece is pressed from rich, raw stoneware and finished in our active seasonal mineral glazes. They are non-toxic, food-safe, dishwasher durable, and designed to age with a rich patina alongside the child. Give them a tool that honors their strength, grounded in the earth.

The exterior of the pottery is purposely unglazed to provide texture and adds to a secure grip. The surface builds the child’s tactile ability at a young age. It also has the right weight at approximately 8 oz each. The cup holds approximately 4~5 oz.

Cup 3”(h) x 2-3/4” (diameter), holds 4~5 fluid oz.

Bowl - 2”(h) x 4”(diameter)

Plate - 1”(h) x 5”(diameter)

Welcome to the studio. Thank you for subscribing to Soos Creek Studio. You are officially part of our community here in South King County. Whenever we step away from the studio table or return from a mobile van run, we send out quiet updates sharing our latest community firings, upcoming local workshop openings, and reflections on sustainable, hand-built art. We look forward to sharing our next update with you as soon as our hands are out of the clay. In the meantime, feel free to quiet the noise and see what we are shaping right now over on Instagram.

Soos Creek Studio’s community outreach programs are supported in part by the grants from 4Culture, Artsfund, Seattle Parks & Recreation, and the Allen Family Philanthropies.
